It was a pleasant change to see a magazine without 30 pages of brass adverts paired with 60 pages of self righteous drivel! Edtn is simple: Two colours per edition. 20 pages .Great artwork. Good price.
Location: Bodhi Gallery, 214 Brick Lane, London UK.
You can get yourself a copy of edtn through the online shop (to get the limited edition stickers) or at the show.

Ozone681 (EBS Italy)
posted by E.C | 12:57
Thanks to a stylist who saw my works, I began work in a “Style Studio”, which is a studio where big brands look for some help to be a cut above in their collections.
My work consists of creating from the graphics to the all over and prints, for brands such as Ungaro Fever and Max Mara, although my main client at the moment is Calvin Klein and CKJ.
OZ681: My style has its roots in the “Graffiti Writing world” but is enriched every day with the new tendencies of graphic and fashion design.
EBS: What projects are you working on at the moment?
OZ681: The latest project I’m working on is a prototype toy. It’s of one of my graphic characters, “The Panda”. It’s collaboration with a friend of mine, and the Calvin Klein autum/winter collection 2009/2010.
Besides designing for brands I'm pushing the “OZ681 project”, my true passion, where some naughty characters, such as the Panda, the Ninja and Yaya, have taken shape from my mind through my graphics. From these characters I created the posters and stickers that I “Attack” the cities with... I love it when graphics from my imagination become real pictures, pins and t-shirts.
EBS: Sounds like your living the dream…What are the fashion parties like?
OZ681: In Milan there are more parties than restaurants!!! It’s the only Italian metropolis and the fashion capital of the world! So imagine the wildest party...and you’ll find it in Milan!!! You can choose from many different kinds of music but I get down to Hip Hop, Dub, Drum'n Bass and the real rock!!!
EBS: who would you like to big up?
OZ681: My respect goes to those who ever succeeded in changing the preconceptions of images. To great artists like Warhol and Haring who revealed in their art a reality that already existed but that were not before explored. To all those who believe and grow their projects as you Early Bird Guys do! To all those who take the flame of creativity on in their work. To those who create for themself regardless of external awards. To those who changed the way we know music, like Grandmaster Flash & J Dilla. To all those I have known that have brought me inspiration.
To my YaYa who lights my days. To all the people who light shit on fire.
Thanx, BIG UP, and don’t forget …..rockin’withe best!

EBS X Punx Soundcheck: Glitchy Party Techno Tip
posted by E.C | 14:09
EBS caught up with John of Punx Souncheck fame (there's John on the left..with the hat)…get to know…
EBS:Tell us about Punx soundcheck, who’s in it?
JPS:Punx Soundcheck is basically just the two of usm myself John Taylor (EX The Droyds) and Arif Salih (Ex Natural Born Chillers) and we’ve been together for about 7 years.
EBS:Where are you based?
JPS:We’re based in London, Arif has always lived in London and I moved to London in 99.
EBS:How long have you been making music?
JPS:I’ve only been making music for about 10 years, Arif has been making music since the early 90’s.
EBS:Describe the Punx soundcheck sound. If there is one..
JPS:Our sound is definitely under the electro umbrella, but with each release our sound does evolve. Right now we’re on the glitchy party Techno tip. We love making this kind of electro as you have the freedom to mess with the rhythms and sounds.
EBS:Where can people get their hands on your music?
JPS:Anywhere that sells good music really. We’re vinyl junkies, so most of our tracks come out on vinyl..and of course everything is available on all the top download sites.
EBS:Who are your inspirations?
JPS:Both of us are big horror film fans. So we are really into the band Goblin who have done loads of great horror soundtracks. Also we are really into the early electro Hip Hop from Mantronix, Newcleus and Egyptian Lover..Too many to mention! And of course the early 80’s electro pop.
EBS:Who are you listening too?
JPS:Right now I’m really getting into the does it offend you yeah? Album aswell as Justice, Crystal Castles, Goblin, Tronik Youth..So much good music out at the moment It’s hard keeping up!Who are you not listening too?None of that manufactured rubbish spilling out of the radio for sure. Also not a big fan of RnB and trance. Other than that everything else is OK.
EBS:What are you guys working on at the moment?
JPS:We’re just about to drop our second Punx album..as our release schedule for the Punx was busy along with all the rmxs coming out we decided to create a new production name, as we really wanted to do an album with the elements of Hip Hop, Rave and cut up glitchy tracks. So at the moment we’re just finishing the off the Chanty Poe album YEAHH which is coming out on Hottwerk Records, followed by a single. Using a different name allows you to workon new sounds without messing up the Punx Sound..and it keeps you busy.
EBS:We see your playing in Bulgaria have you been before?
JPS:I have, I played there last year at Seeme. I had a great time so they asked me to come back this year to play and take part in the conference itself.
EBS:What else you got planned for the summer?
JPS:To finish the Chant album and sort the first single out. Also do the first single from the Punx album which is a remix EP of a few tracks from the album. It’s gonna be called the Dookie Rope EP, with great remixes from Tronik Youth, Run Hide survive and dolby Anol. After this we will want do a horror film track album. That’s the production tip, but I’ll also be really busy on the DJ side of things, with gigs coming up in Ibiza, Berlin, Amsterdam & Columbia to name a few..and then a well deserved extended holiday at the end of the year.
EBS:What’s your favourite way to pass the time?
JPS:Searching the internet and record shops, looking for them sonic gems. I’m also doing a webmaster course in computers so I spend a lot of my spare time studying…gotta keep that brain active..for sure!
EBS:Any guilty pleasures?
JPS:For sure, don’t we all. That’s a secret
EBS:Any plugs & shout outs?
JPS:To C.Monts, miss oddkidd, tronik youth, run hide survive, hotwerk records. Too many to mention.
Look out for the forthcoming Punx Soundcheck Album..featuring a bashy cameo from C.Monts
hear the chaps stuff on their Myspace page
