Pithy interview time folks..this time the Hip Hop quartet; EMC. Master ACE, Wordsworth, Punchline & Stricklin passed through to chit chat..kemp..LP’s and audiences…


EBS: You guys performed at Hip Hop Kemp last year, how did you like it?

Wordsworth: It was great!! Fans were incredible!! And we got to bring Sean Price out. It was crazy!!

EBS: And you’re back on the line up for this year? Looking fwd to hitting that stage again?

Punchline: Of course!! Can’t wait to hit that stage because I missed the show last year. But the fellas told me how incredible it was!

EBS: Did you get to spend some time at the festival last year after your performance?

Masta Ace: Yeah, I think we had a couple of interviews after. So we spent a lil time there.

HHK UK: Did you get to see any of the other acts?

Stricklin: Yeah we got to see Yarah Bravo & Icon on the 1st night I think. We also saw Hetah Skeltah after our show.

EBS: Had you played in the Czech Republic before?

Stricklin: We did HHK in ’05. It was a Masta Ace show tho.

EBS: Are there any differences between performing in front of European audiences and the U.S audience?

Punchline: European audiences are a lil more energetic and show more appreciation for the music. They are not afraid to party!!

EBS: How is ‘The Show’ LP doing?

Wordsworth & Masta Ace: It’s doing great! There are lots of good reviews so far. People are really enjoying the LP. We really appreciate the awesome feedback!

EBS: EMC’s going from strength to strength..how many tour dates you doing this summer?

Stricklin: Well we are touring Europe right now. It’s the “Once More” tour with Torae & Marco Polo. It started May 14th and is going until June 7th. Then we have some spot dates in the U.S. in late June early July. And then back to Europe in August for HHK and some other dates.

EBS: What do you feel makes a good live show?

Masta Ace: ENERGY!! You have to have lots of energy and make the crowd feel as if they are a part of the show. We try to take the audience on a ride of emotions during our show. We think that’s important!
